ZALORA FAQ (Sellers)
1. How do I submit my information for e-invoice purposes?
We request our Sellers to complete the Supplier Information Sheet. This ensures comprehensive and accurate information for issuing and processing the self-billed e-invoice or e-invoice in the near future. All information will be stored securely and shared only with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) for the purposes of validation and issuance of e-Invoices.
2. Do I need to issue an e-invoice for sales transactions happening on ZALORA Malaysia?
No. ZALORA will issue an e-invoice to the customers for orders placed on ZALORA Malaysia.
3. How will corrections or amendments to self billed e-invoices, self billed refund notes, e-invoices etc be handled?
Seller is required to contact us at info.einvoice@my.zalora.com or contact your account manager for any corrections or amendments to e-invoices or refund notes.
4. Who is responsible for issuing e-invoices to customers for orders placed on ZALORA Malaysia?
ZALORA.
5. Does ZALORA have the obligation to provide to the Seller the e-invoice/ validated e-invoice/ visual presentation of e-invoice issued to a customer?
No.
6. I am a local Seller, do I need to issue an e-invoice to a customer for a transaction on ZALORA Malaysia?
No. The responsibility to issue an e-invoice to customers for transactions on ZALORA Malaysia is with ZALORA.
7. I am an overseas Seller, do I need to issue an e-invoice to a customer for a transaction on ZALORA Malaysia?
No. The responsibility to issue an e-invoice for transactions on ZALORA Malaysia is with ZALORA.
8. What is the frequency of sending an e-invoicing to a customer?
Once an order is delivered, the customer can submit a request for an e-invoice, which will be sent to them after validation by IRBM.
9. Will ZALORA issue a consolidated or individual e-invoice to a customer?
Individual e-invoices will only be issued to the customer upon request. Customers will be directed to a page to input the neccesary information required to issue an individual e-invoice.
10. Will ZALORA send a consolidated e-invoice to a customer?
No.
11. Is there a timeline for a customer to request for e-invoice?
Yes. A customer needs to submit a request for an e-Invoice within 5 days from the date the order is delivered.
Eg. Order confirmed on 1 August 2024
Order delivered on 3 August 2024
The customer has until 8 August 2024 to request for an e-invoice, after which ZALORA has no obligation to issue an e-invoice to the customer for that order.
12. Where do customers get the validated e-invoice?
The validated e-invoice will be sent to them via email.
13. There is a customer return, who will issue an e-invoice to reflect this return?
ZALORA.
14. Is ZALORA required to report Seller's GMV earned on ZALORA?
Yes, via a self-billed method.
15. Will ZALORA share with the Seller the self-billed e-invoice issued on behalf of Seller?
Yes. ZALORA will provide a validated self-billed e-invoice to the Seller.
16. Will the Seller's GMV which is self-billed by ZALORA be tied to the e-invoice issued to a customerBuyer?
Yes, technically the e-invoice issued to a customer Buyer should represent the GMV of the Seller.
17. Who is responsible to issue e-invoice for fees/charges imposed by ZALORA to Seller?
ZALORA.
18. Will ZALORA share the e-invoice/ validated e-invoice/ visual presentation of e-invoice issued to Seller?
Yes. ZALORA will share the validated e-invoice for fees/charges imposed by ZALORA to Seller.
19. What is the frequency that e-invoices and self-billed e-invoices are sent to the Seller?
This follows the current billing cycle and will be sent after validation by IRBM.
20. Where can the Seller get the validated e-invoice and/or self-billed e-invoice?
The validated e-invoice and/or self-billed e-invoice will be sent via email.
